The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for most graduate schools in the United States. Created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 1949, the exam aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE General Test is offered as a computer-based exam administered at Prometric testing centers.

Graduate students who need admission into US and Canadian universities are normally required to take the GRE. Secondly, those in pursuit of scholarships will have to ace the GRE.

TEST CONTENT: The GRE has 3 main parts (sections).

The Analytical Writing
Verbal
Quantitative

SCORES : The GRE is scored on a scale of 130 to 170 for both the Verbal and Quantitative sections. The Analytical Writing section is guaged on a 6 point scale. The Scores are reported immediately after submission.
However, the score for the Analytical component is released after a couple of days normally within a few weeks.

EXAM DIETS : A test date can booked almost any date but subject to availability. It is advised that candidates register in advance.
